There is a massive cloud of imminent danger hanging over King’s Landing, and this may set in motion many events to avert the imminent downfall. Daenerys is on her way to Westeros to reclaim what she believes to be a rightful throne. A seat now occupied by the ‘Mad Queen,’ Cersei Lannister who as we might all know will not give up the position without a fight. One thing that Cersei Lannister has taught us is that she can go any length to take out her enemies. You might remember how she got rid of the High Sparrow and his followers in one big swoop.
We suspect Euron Greyjoy will be on his way to meet Cersei Lannister to cut a deal with her in Game of Thrones season 7 episode 1. Why would he do that? You may ask. We saw in season 6 Euron’s nephew, and niece Theon and Yara have already formed a pact with ‘the mother of dragons,’ Khaleesi. They want to overthrow him and take his place.
Moreover, it is the smartest thing to do because Cersei is arguably the most dominant force left that would want an alliance with him. Besides, it would be a win-win situation for both of them. Euron has a big fleet that would help Cersei to fight off the invading Deanery’s force, and in return, she would help him against Theon and Yara Greyjoy.
We suspect things will go from bad to worse in King’s Landing between Jamie and his sister cum lover, Cersei. Keep note of Jamie’s odd look in the final episode of season 6 when he learned that she enthroned herself as the protector of the Iron Throne. Jamie may try to take her down, but she might use The Mountain against him.
While we don’t expect the White Walkers to overrun the wall in this episode, there will be a lot going to stop them if and when they do. Bran might want to meet with Jon Snow to help in stopping this imminent threat. Sam on the hand, would be busy pouring over various volumes in the citadel learning how to defeat the White Walkers. He might stumble upon AzorAhai in one of the books. Then would lead to making comparisons about AzorAhai and his friend Jon Snow who might defeat the White Walkers.
Arya will be on her way to Westeros, and she might meet Brianne and Pod. Brianne would want to take her to meet Jon and Sansa, but that plan might be shelved when they learn that Jamie has been held prisoner at King’s Landing. Expect the Hound to go with them to Kings’ Landing to take revenge on his brother, the Mountain. Those are our predictions for Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2, let us know if you have something better to put across.
